“Sivigliana”, “Tangos” performance competition

Participation Fee:

·         Solo (1 Dancer) – 15 LVL

·         Duo (2 Dancers) –10 LVL per each person

·         Group (3 or more Dancers) – 8 LVL per each person

(for anyone who buys any package (A, B1, B2, C) to the congress – participation fee 5 LVL)

Participants:

·         Children:  10 – 15 years old (only groups of 3 or more Dancers)

·         Juniors: 16 – 21years old (solo, duo, groups)

·         Adults I: 22 – 30 years old (solo, duo, groups)

·         Adults II: 31 – 54 years old (solo, duo, groups)

·         Seniors: 55 years old and older (solo, duo, groups)

Competition has 3 rounds:

1 – Preliminary Round:

a)      “Sivigliana” – performed by all participants on organizer’s music – 2:00 min.

b)      “Tangos” – performed in groups of 1 to 3 people on “Compas” – no more than 2:00 min.

2 – Contest: ”Sivigliana”, “Tangos” dance composition performance

Solo – up to 2:30 min.

Duo – up to 2:45 min.

Groups (Small Group etc.) – up to 3:00 min.

3 – Awards: All participants will get gifts from Simon Besa’s Dance Company (t-shirts and cap with the logo).

1^st place: trip to the workshops of Spanish teacher (by your choice) at Punto Flamenco School.

2^nd place: trip to the festival.

3^rd place: valuable gift.

 

International jury with representatives of Spanish culture (Maria Mottola)

Dancer can participate in all 3 nominations (“Oriental Princess”, Gypsy Dance, Flamenco Puro) by the fee of 15 LVL (or 5 LVL for anyone who buys any package to the congress).

Participants:

·         Must be at least 18 years old and not older than 25 years old

·         Should pay participation fee – 15 LVL (for anyone who buys any package (A, B1, B2, C) to the congress – participation fee 5 LVL)

·         Attended registration

Only amateurs (not professionals, not teachers) can participate with training experience of more than 1 year.

Each participant has to prepare:

·         Dance composition of no more than 3:00 min.

Style: Oriental Classic, Raqs Sharqi or Ballady

·         Presentation of 30 sec. (About Me... or on the theme «Why I dance Belly Dance»).

Suit change is OBLIGATORY on a defile and-or on competition.

Each participant has to provide 2 CD’s:

·         Presentation - 0:30 min.

·         Dance Composition - 3:00 min.

 

Jury – international, with representatives of Arab culture (Mahdy Emara), 3 – point system. Assessed the compliance of all 3 - components (suit, technique, performance «Arab») + Presentation

3 Parts of the Competition:

1 – Presentation: After receiving the registration number Each Dancer participates in the defile on her Presentation (30 sec.)

2 – Contest: Each Dancer performs dance composition according to her registration number (3 min).

3 - Awards: Oriental Princess Crown’s delivery to the winner. (Prizes will be published later)

“Gypsy Dance” style Competition includes: Russian, Balkan, Hungarian, Moldavian, Romanian Gypsies (with no impurities of Belly Dance or Flamenco Puro).

2 – Contest: Dance composition on own music

Duo – up to 2.45 min.

Groups – up to 3:00 min.
